Calendar Updates from Mrs. Demos

Good Morning Brooks Community,

With the school year winding down, I thought sending a calendar of upcoming events would be helpful to families.  Please know that we will continue to add to this calendar as grade-level events pop up.

Brooks Calendar of Events as of 5/16/23 

I wanted to share some details regarding a few of the specific events listed on the attached calendar for your information:

Musical Showcase–June 1st

• The June 1st Showcase for students in grades 1-4 will take place from 9:15-10:15 in the gym.  

• Families are welcome and will enter using the Auburn Street entrance beginning at 9:00.  

• Due to the capacity limits, we kindly ask that each family adhere to the two-person guest limit.

• We looked into taping this showcase to share, but we cannot do so with the number of do not photograph/video requests we have in the building.

Moving On Ceremony–June 14th

• The grade 5 Moving On Ceremony will take place in the cafetorium from 9:15- approximately 10:15.

• Students will go back to their classrooms upon completion of the ceremony.

• The details regarding drop off, pick up, etc., to the Moving On Celebration will be sent to fifth-grade families through the PTO separately.

Last Day of School

• June 20th will be a noon dismissal for all students K-5 for their last day of school.

In closing, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for thinking of me on Principal’s Day.  Reading through the emails and cards truly warmed my heart.  I am lucky to lead such an amazing community!  #BEEHIVESTRONG
