MPS Strategic Plan Survey & Community Visioning Sessions

MPS Strategic Plan Survey & Community Visioning Sessions

Starting later this month, the Medford School Committee (MSC) will begin the process of developing a strategic plan for the Medford Public Schools (MPS). A strategic plan will provide the school district with a long-term roadmap for how we will support students, staff, and family members. The first step is to hear from the community on what’s working in our schools, what isn’t, and receive input on what the communities priorities for our schools are.

To do this, the Medford School Committee has created a survey asking community members their thoughts on the current state of the district and how we can improve. While the survey is anonymous, filling it out as thoroughly as possible will greatly shape the district’s Strategic Plan. Visit Here to complete the survey.

Additionally, the School Committee and members of district leadership will be leading Community Visioning Sessions throughout January & February of 2026. These sessions, which will be a mix of in-person and remote options, will further facilitate engagement with the community and provide a space for structured conversations on the future of Medford Public Schools. They will be held as follows:

  • Wednesday, January 21 at the Medford High School Library from 6 - 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, January 24 at the Medford Public Library from 10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
  • Tuesday, January 27 on Zoom from 6 - 8 p.m. (Zoom Link HERE)
  • Tuesday, February 3 at the Andrews Middle School Library from 6 - 8 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 5 on Zoom from 6 - 8 p.m. (Zoom Link HERE)
  • Tuesday, February 10 at the Roberts Elementary School Library from 6 - 8 p.m.

This execution of the strategic plan will ultimately be led by the district’s full-time Superintendent.  A permanent appointment will be made by the conclusion of the 2025/26 school year.

Thank you for your input, engagement, and collaborative discussions as the School Committee works to develop a Strategic Plan for the Medford Public Schools!
